Inmersive experiences development Jorney

Around 2021, those years, the Midwam website surprised me a lot. I wanted to make websites like that.

That is why I took the course of Bruno Simon. I watched all the videos. I did not officially finish it then. I pushed myself and finished the course. I got my certificate today. I learned a lot there. I did some projects, quite simple, to learn Three.js. Some of those experiments are still on GitHub, johnkegd/threejs (November 2021, Course Threejs journey). One of them is a galaxy I tried to make, applying math formulas that interested me: johnkegd.github.io/threejs. The page still has the galaxy controls (count, radius, branches, spin, randomness).

I resigned a bit because one 3D experience is not one skill. It is 3D design, modeling, effects, music, or buying those, and I did not have the resources. It never left me. I still want to experiment. One goal was to replicate what that site does, in order to learn the techniques.

Last weekend I invested a bit of time on a repository where I tried to copy the techniques they implemented on Midwam, with my agents and skills, giving them the direction and checking it. I managed to integrate the camera animations in the right way, so the immersive experience was complete there.

This is an experiment, showcasing learning and new abilities I am now able to implement. Copyrights point to the real authors. Many of the assets I used are not mine. I am open to delete anything that goes against any copyright.

I am a software engineer adapting to be an AI engineer, using it to have fun and showcase knowledge about current technology in creative ways.

I want my brother Manuel Duran in some later immersive pieces. He is a great creative 3D developer and musician, with skills to create sound effects I have never seen before. We have some ideas. This project is the practice.

Let's see in the next weeks what kind of amazing projects are going to exist and help to express some of the imaginations I have.
